Happy Birthday Katie!

29 years ago, I was in labor for 8 hours in Alexandria, MN. I gave birth to Katie Jo at about noon and she weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces; she was 21 inches long.

Katie is 29 today and is the light of my life! She's grown into a woman who I admire and respect and love spending time with. In fact, I would rather spend time with Katie than anyone else!

Her choices in life have lead her to where she is today. She's a Mom to her own amazing little miracle, Calla Suzanna, and shares her life with Nicholas who is the perfect guy for her personality - they balance each other. She's a loving sister to Kristie and would do anything for her, including giving her a kidney! She's a professor and her students adore her. She's also a generous friend.

She's the best daughter in the whole world. And I love her so much!

(I used to call her pumpkin when she was little...she calls Calla muffin.)

Kristie and I will be home on Monday. Happy weekend!
