Kidney Donation Site

Rain, rain, go away, never come another day. Woke up to a thunderstorm last night about 2 a.m. Supposed to rain for another two days then sunshine this weekend. Sigh.

On a good note, Kristie is feeling good! God is good! Thanks for all your prayers! I watched a segment on the Today show on kidney transplants and the average wait time for kidney donations is 5 years...not good. People die every day who are waiting for a kidney. But there is good news. A doctor started a matching website for people who need kidneys and those who want to donate their kidney while still living. Go to http://www.matchingdonors.com/ and register if you need a kidney or register if you want to donate your kidney.

Having donated my kidney to Kristie, I can tell you its totally worth the 2 to 6 week down time. Just to see her smiling face every day, happy and healthy.

If you know of someone who needs a kidney, have them register on this site. The Today show indicated that 6000 had registered to give kidneys and only 400 to receive them, simply because nobody knows about the site! Let's get the word out!

Kristie and I are headed to visit Calla in Sacramento May 16 for a couple of weeks. I need some sunshine and Calla time!

I've lost 3.5 pounds on Weight Watchers and Nigel's lost 10. Go figure but its all good. He is working out alot harder then me.
